Malware solution Installed at Politecnico di Torino. RS-MTD enters Italy.
(Torino) – Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy ranked among the first 25 European technical Universities Engineering/Technology/Computer Science, has started a proof of concept of Talaia (Redsocks) Malware Threat Defender.
Maurizio Molina, CTO of Talaia Solutions, has personally supervised the installation and configuration of the system: “the dimensions and complexity of the network did not pose any problem for the installation. The system is stable, the generation of netflow data streams at firewall level does not impact the performance in any significant way. I’m very satisfied of the appliance’ behaviour so far”.
Enrico Venuto, Headperson of the New Technologies, Portals and Contents of the IT area of the University: “We’re glad to be able to directly test the RD-MTD solution in the context of our network. We’re confident that this may prove a valiant ally to the system administrator, in his daily fight against malware”.
The RS-MTD appliance will guard for one month the university network of the Politecnico, the complex nervous system of the institution, a flagship of Italian academy, according to international rankings. The installation at the Politecnico di Torino is the first RS-MTD installation in Italy.
